The Portable Appliance Testing procedure consists of the following:
• Each appliance is subjected to industry approved tests that ensure that it meets current electrical regulations.
• The fuse in each item is checked to ensure it is both fitted correctly and the correct size. Incorrect or faulty fuses are replaced.
• A sticker is applied to each appliance to indicate its ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’, along with the recommended date for its next test.
• When an item fails, minor repairs may be made in order to achieve a Pass.
On completion of the PAT, documentation will be issued to identify all the appliances that have been tested, along with their corresponding Pass or Fail status. These certificates are issued from a fully qualified and approved PAT engineer. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
